The Goal

Build the compliance layer Kenyan SMEs are missing — a system that keeps M-Pesa income and KRA tax filings in sync automatically, so a business owner isn't reconciling receipts under deadline pressure.

The Challenge

Tax compliance in Kenya is shifting from an annual paperwork exercise to a continuous, real-time obligation. Most small business owners have no practical way to track that in real time alongside actually running their business.

Technical Constraints

Server-first Next.js architecture built to handle sensitive financial and tax data with a zero-trust security posture — the specifics stay behind the product, in line with Regio's stage as an active company.

Business Impact

Regio is live and actively onboarding its first SME customers in the Kenyan market.

Reflection

"This case study stays intentionally thin — Regio is a live, ongoing company, not a closed portfolio piece. What's shown here is exactly what's public on the site; deeper product internals stay private while the company is still finding its footing."
